When the Meek Shall Inherit the Earth

Posted on Jan 14th, 2009 by Jeff : Certified Spiritual Life Coach Jeff

I received some insight on this topic this morning and I believe this has to do with those people who are learning to create their lives and their world through the Law of Attraction instead of through primarily through action.

For most of our recorded history, the people that have been in power are the ones who have believed and acted upon the prevailing belief of "the strongest shall survive" or "might equals right."

In our previous historical perspectives, results were valued more than the intent behind the actions. But in the age we have entered, energy flows differently than it did before.

What those in power were able to hide from the masses before now is revealed through circumstances seemingly beyond their control. The intent of their actions is being revealed.

We can now understand the intent of the action by viewing the results of the action. If the intent of an action was fear based, we can easily look to the results and see the expanded fear it has created.

So some examples are:

  • A war on terror borne out of a fear-based decision has created significantly more fear than was there before. By the way, a war on anything will create more of a problem than it solves.
  • Business policies created out of a fear of not having enough has created an economic recession that has created more fear of not having enough.

Those that will inherit the earth are those who understand that "might does not equal right" any more. Those that will inherit the earth are those who understand that by consciously focusing on what they intend to create and why will create their heaven on earth.

If we focus on war, we will create more of that. But if we focus on Peace, we will create that.

Those that continue to believe that the "end justifies the means" will not be able to survive on earth easily much longer. They only solution they have is a continued escalation of the same action (ex: bailouts, war, layoffs, etc) to try to create the results that they seek. And ALL of these actions will end in failure because their actions are borne out of FEAR.

Those that will begin to assume power in this world are those that understand that by first connecting to the feeling of what it is that they intend to create; Abundance, Peace, Love...only then will they be inspired with the thoughts, ideas and actions that will bring about what they desire.

Those who value action will not understand this. They will see these people as "meek" or "weak" and yet they will not be able to stop the transfer of power...because their thoughts and feelings will continue to manifest the fear based results.

So those of you on a spiritual path, fear not that the world is not working as you would like it to be and focus solely on what you would like it to be. Focus on the peace we will create together in this world.

Realize that the economic shift that is occurring right now is not something to be feared.

It is an opportunity for those who are ready to assume their inheritance!

Whatever You Can Imagine and Believe...

Posted on Jan 20th, 2009 by Jeff : Certified Spiritual Life Coach Jeff
The title of this post is an adaptation of Napoleon Hill’s famous quote, “What the mind of man can conceive and believe, it can achieve.”

This is a wonderful day to acknowledge this wisdom as I’m sure few people other than Barack Obama believed he could become the first African-American to become President of the United States. This is a prime example how any of us can achieve anything we desire in life...if we can believe it.

While Napoleon Hill’s famous book, “Think and Grow Rich” was groundbreaking for the painstaking research that went into this vast collection of wisdom, the core foundational statement was simply a re-adaptation of what has been told time and again by every teacher on how to succeed in life.

The Christian Bible states, “The kingdom of heave is within you” and “As you think, so shall it be.”

Where most of us get caught up, including me...is that we look out at our world and just react to what is there. We get frustrated that what is there is not what we want it to be.

We “take the long path” and try to change the world into what we want it to be. Our minds tell us that the other person needs to change for us to feel happy. Our mind says that the world “should” be different. And it does not matter how many things go right in our lives, if we do not change our thoughts, our minds unconsciously determine if our lives are good or bad depending on what shows up.

When we live unconsciously, we are allowing our outer world to create our inner world. We are constantly reacting to what is happening and allowing that to determine how we feel.

In “Money and the Law of Attraction” by Abraham-Hicks, Abraham says that if we want to take control of our lives, we have to tell a different story about it.

What Abraham is saying here is exactly the same thing as Napoleon Hill...exactly the same thing as Wayne Dyer in “The Power of Intention” and exactly the same thing as many, many other people who have learned how to make this “secret” work for them.

The most amazing thing about “The Secret” is that it isn’t a secret at all! It is knowledge that has been right in front of us for thousands of years. There have always been people who have used this information to create what they wanted and there have always been people sharing how to do it with others.

But there have also always been many who could not see it, who could not hear the message and who could not understand what the message was.

The message is very simple.

You create your reality.

You create it with the thoughts that you think and the feelings you attach to those thoughts.

I learned a few years ago that most of what we think, we aren’t even aware that we think. It is the little voice in the back of our mind that whispers to us and tells us what to think. But if you look out at any area of your life, what you believe you can or can’t have...what you believe is right there in front of you.

If you don’t like what you see in your life, stop blaming someone else for what you see. Change it from within. You may have to learn to let go of what you are unconsciously thinking. You may have to learn to let go of what you believe that is creating realities that you no longer wish to live.

And you may need help to learn to do that.

If you need help, contact me. That’s what I do. I help others see what they cannot see, hear what they cannot hear and understand how to let go of what does not serve them.

Change is scary to be sure. But as Albert Einstein said, “You cannot solve a problem with the same consciousness that created it.”

When you are ready to change your consciousness, let me know.

Today is proof what of what can happen when someone can conceive and believe something...even if no one else does.

THAT is what makes it inspiring.

Forgiveness – A Gift for Yourself

Posted on Jan 30th, 2009 by Jeff : Certified Spiritual Life Coach Jeff

From the time we are born, our minds are looking out at the world and deciding who and what we are in relation to the people with whom we interact. Intuitively, we know how to hold onto things and let go of them when they no longer serve us. But when it comes to our emotions, we forget how natural this is for us, because few of our caretakers knew how to model this for us.

And so we are not learning how to forgive. We are remembering how to do it. We are remembering why it is essential to a joyful life experience.

Growing up in a religious, conservative family...I learned a lot about judgment. I was taught from a very early age, that even God was judgmental. I watched as my caretakers modeled judgment for me...both for others and themselves. And I learned how to judge others and myself.

I learned that it was important to forgive and that I was supposed to do it, but no one told me why. I know now that they couldn't tell me because they didn't know. They could only give me what they had.

What they had was religious training and rigid belief systems surrounding that. But what they did not have was the experiential emotional knowledge for how to really apply what they knew.

I've learned though that Forgiveness is not something I do for the other person and that I ask them to do for me. Forgiveness is something I do for myself.

I am the only one who can feel my feelings and so I am the only one who suffers from holding onto anger, disappointments, frustration, shame and hurt.

I have learned through my own life experiences that because I bottled all of this up inside of me instead of letting it go, that these energies sought to express themselves by attacking my body. They were seeking a release.

The Law of Attraction says, "like attracts like." Because I held onto anger and pain, I kept attracting these types of situations to me over and over.

Sometimes we need to forgive someone else...to release the pain we carry within us that our minds connect to that person. Sometimes we need to forgive ourselves and let go of the embarrassment and shame of our own less than perfect actions.

Our powerful imagination holds the key to forgiveness. Since scientists have proven that our mind does not know the difference between something real and imagined, it is not even necessary to tell someone you are forgiving them. If you feel you need an apology from someone in order to forgive them, you have the power to imagine that. If you feel you owe someone else an apology, you will feel better if you imagine that as well. You also have the power to imagine them forgiving you. You have the power to imagine whatever you need to experience in order to let go of your pain.

Close your eyes and imagine a conversation between you and to whomever you have this emotion attached. Tell them why you are upset with them and allow them to apologize to you. If you did or said something to hurt them, allow them to tell you how they felt and allow you to apologize to them. Then tell them you forgive them and that you are ready to let go of the energy you've carried.

Take a deep breath, relax and allow yourself to really feel as much emotion as you can that you have attached to this situation. Feel wherever you feel it in your body. Notice if that area of your body feels tight, tense or some other physical sensation and really allow yourself to just feel it. For just a few moments, don't think about why it is there. Just FEEL it.
Then breathe into it and release it with a loud sigh of relief. Exhale with a sound of "Ahhhh!"

The practice of forgiveness releases chunks of trapped emotional energy. And as you release it, you are then able to replace the pain with love, the anger with compassion and the shame with understanding...both for yourself and others.

Give yourself the gift of forgiveness today. You deserve it!
