Where We Are Going

Posted on Mar 31st, 2009 by Jeff : Certified Spiritual Life Coach Jeff

I have been doing some meditations lately that are "downloading" higher vibrations and it has added new wrinkles in my understanding not only of what I am doing, but where we are going.

So first of all, so much of what I have been applying in my own life and teaching to others has to do with the "letting go" part of the process. It is easy to get tied up in only this aspect because the more we let go of, the better we feel. It is only when we do this work that we become conscious of all that we have been unconsiously holding onto. We start to become aware of the ways in which we have avoided the pain and incorrectly thought that we actually COULD hold onto it, but this is incorrect. We have to let it go in order to grow. Our "bodies" can only hold so much energy and we can either spend our life force allowance on either positive or negative energies. We can certainly have a mix of the two and all of us do. Our lives are happy, joyful and peaceful to the degree we have allowed more positive energy than negative into our being...or in other words, to the degree we feel happy and peaceful more than we feel angry, frustrated, worried or scared.

With the state of our economy right now, it is easy to get caught up in the illusion that our world is "devolving;" that it is getting worse. This is not what is happening. What is happening is that we are in a spiritual renaissance.

In order to experience more of who and what we are, we must let go of what we are NOT.  We have to start making decisions that benefit the whole instead of just the individual.

In our businesses, we have to start thinking of what will benefit our customers and employees instead of what will benefit the stockholders. We must stop trading "short term gains for long term pain" as my teacher would say.

But as Albert Einstein said, "We cannot solve a problem with the same consciousness that created it." So that means that until we change our consciousness, we cannot solve the problems we have before us.

All of us...ALL of us have a part to play in this. We chose to incarnate on this planet at this point in history to play our part. We each have inherent talents and abilities, that perhaps we have yet to even explore. We are capable of genius, brilliance and creativity that we have yet to even imagine.

The question we must now ask ourselves is, "What stops us from living our lives at that level?"

Part of it is our attachment to who we think we are. Many of us still think we are physical bodies that have a mind and occasionally have a spiritual experience on Sunday...or while finishing a marathon...or while standing on top of a mountain...or while in the midst of a great accomplishment. Yet what we are feeling in these moments is the emotion of Joy...and yes, this is a spiritual experience, because it is in these moments that we experience our true essence. It is when we relax our minds enough to allow ourselves to experience our being-ness.

Some of us are becoming aware that we are on a spiritual journey, but we are still so caught up in what has happened to us in this lifetime. We hold on to anger, pain, embarrassment and shame...either because we want to punish someone else...or because we feel that we deserve punishment. What we must understand is that when we hold onto these feelings, we ARE punishing ourselves...and we ARE punishing the world also. But none of it is needed. We have to learn to let go of our pain, because we cannot create the world we want if we still have a wounded perspective. We cannot create peace through war or a fearful perspective.  We cannot embrace the unlimited power we wield collectively until enough of us heal individually.

Many of us want "the other person" to change so that we will feel better. But healing happens when "we" change, when we learn to forgive, when we...decide to grow. Growth is a process of bringing in new energy and of letting to. We must learn to allow ourselves to receive love, understanding, help, compassion and acceptance. We must also learn to let go of our hurt, fears, frustration, envies and judgments.

This is the ebb and flow of our lives. We bring in Love...we let go of pain...we bring in Peace...we let go of fear.  We must do both. We must bring in higher vibrations to raise our consciousness and we must let go of the lower vibrations...to make room for more Love.

As we do this, our perceptions of ourselves and our world changes. Our bodies change. Our bodies are the closest representation of what our inner world is like. If we resist growth and change, our bodies reflect it. Our bodies stop being the magical, mystical healing machines that they are. Our bodies stop letting go of all the waste that we take in either through our food, our air, the negative vibrations that come into our existence and it creates dis-ease within us.  As we start to eat foods higher in life force, our vibration rises and we are able to distinguish our emotions more easily.

When we live in low vibration all of the time, we cannot feel our pain. From a frequency perspective, we live in the "noise."  Conversely, the more we meditate and take in higher vibrational energies, the more we can feel the effects of the foods we eat in our body. Either way, we have to raise our vibration to feel the effect.

We have to let go of that which weighs us down. We must learn to forgive.

We are going towards Self-Realization. The integration of our soul...all of our soul's energy into our physical incarnation. We cannot hold onto our old pain and fear. We either release it at our physical death or we release it while living here and just change our perception of our life and our world.

Our soul cannot integrate until we let go of that which we are not and fully embrace that which we are.
